November 10, 2016

On Thursday evening the Company along with mutual aid was dispatched to the 100 block of Oak Lane in West Caln Twp. for the reported House Fire. The caller was reporting a Chimney Fire possibly extending.

Asst. 33 (Messner) arrived first reporting nothing showing investigating, Engine 33-5 arrived first with Ladder 41, Engine 35 and Engine 76 arriving next. Crews found a blocked chimney with an active fire in the pipe. Crews set up and laddered the building along with operating inside the house quickly handled the incident.

Additional units arriving were held in staging and were released once the incident was under control. Companies cleared at a little after 19:30 hours with the residence turned back over to the owner.

Wagontown would like to thank Glen Moore for covering the area while the units were committed on the long narrow country road.

The next incident was dispatched originally as a fire alarm for Westwood to the Millview club house, on arrival of Chief 44 (McWilliams) the box was upgraded at 20:56 Hours to smoke in the building bringing Engine 35 to the scene.

The Engine staffed with 5 responded and assisted the units onscene with ventilation from the issue with the heating system. The company cleared this incident at around 22:00 hours

Special thanks to Irisheyez Photography for the pictures and all the others who provided pictures.
