July 3, 2016

On Saturday the day began with an accident in the 100 Block of Lilly Rd. at 10:52 Hours. Ambulance 144 and Rescue 35 made the response to find one vehicle that had overturned and all occupants were out.

EMS checked the occupants and the Rescue secured the hazards and the company returned a short time later.

Then at 18:08 hours while on the way to the picnic, Chief 35 came across a tractor trailer that had a brake fire on 82 just north of 340, the engine responded and stood by while the owner used a portable extinguisher and then crews allowed the brakes to cool naturally. The owner had a service truck respond to handle the brake issue and the company cleared 20 minutes later.

Then at 02:25 hours the company along with mutual aid was dispatched to the 1000 Block of Birdell Rd. for the house fire. Units arrived onscene with a working fire and worked to contain the fire in the roof of the house. Crews finally cleared the scene at 6 am after assisting the homeowner and ensuring the fire was extinguished.

Wagontown would like to extend our thoughts and any assistance we can provide to those involved in yesterday and today's incidents.
