| Each year two things occur in which the Emergency Services of West Caln gives back to our community. The first is Wagontown provides some help to families during this holiday season. Dawn Fitzgerald and Tracey Trego who are our bingo's driving force works with the attendees to do a food and toy drive.
Having a vast attendance at our bingo they work to reach out to families that are having a tough time or in need of a helping hand. The attendees bring in items that the fire company puts into care packages for the holidays. This year we were able to assist twelve families during this holiday season in the immediate areas around Wagontown. The deliveries took place today at various locations including Coatesville and West Caln.
The second event is sponsored by the West Caln PD, Chief Martinez puts together the annual Toys for Tots program and they collect toys for the program and then selects the families who need that helping hand to make Christmas a little brighter for the little ones.
Wagontown is always more than willing to help provide a sleigh for Santa for these special deliveries to assist the West Caln PD with this event.
Too many times we are asking for the help of our residents looking to continue to provide the level of services they expect and this is our way of giving back to the community.
From all of us who make up the Emergency Services of West Caln we would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year. |
