Pumps Training Part III

On Monday evening the members completed the 12 hour Brush/Portable pumps class in house. The course was based on the Wildland S-211 NWCG course. The 1st part was classroom with theory and operations of portable pumps and appliances with Part II last week covering the basics of drafting and sustaining a water flow and this week ended the class with positive water sources such as off of a tanker supply or being feed by another pump in line. Members rotated through the Brush and Tac pumping each piece of apparatus from start up to taking on water to replenish their tank water used. While the members pumped the junior members utilized the hoses to flow the water providing them time with different types of hand lines Newer drivers also reviewed the Engine and Squad's foam systems while doing training.
Wagontown had 37 members in attendance for training tonight and thanks to all of those who came out for training.
