4th of July Activities, turns out to be a busy day

The day started with the fire police assisting the Downingtown Borough on their annual Good Neighbor Day events. Then attention turned to our get together on the 4th of July at the firehouse where over 30 members and their families gathered for the holiday for dinner. Crews enjoyed a great dinner and were socializing when about 8pm the storms moved in bringing 15 calls before midnight with and additional 5 after midnight. Crews staffed the apparatus and the family members continued to enjoy the evening at the firehouse since most did not have electric as the storm moved in. Crews went from call to call ensuring that PECO was notified and ensuring their were no life or fire safety issues. Crews cleared the firehouse around 3am on the 5th.
