On Monday evening at 22:26 hours the company along with mutual aid was dispatched to the 100 Block of Engletown Rd for a reported house fire. Responding units were advised of fire in the rear of the home.

Asst. 33 arrived first with a fire on the rear deck and a smoke condition inside, crews from Engine 33-1 and Lancaster 49-2 stretched lines to the interior and rear deck areas and held the fire to the original fire area. As additional crews arrived companies were used to fill the RIT and other fire ground duties. Once under control the fire was scaled back to 35, 33 and LC49 units and was later reduced to 35 & 33 units while the fire was investigated by the Chester County Fire Marshal's Office.

Companies cleared the scene just after 12:30 am and returned to their stations. Great job by all who assisted as this fire was kept to the area it originated.
