On Thursday afternoon at 13:52 hours the company was dispatched to the 100 Block of Brandamore Rd. for the reported brush fire. Chief 35 made the response shortly after dispatch and was advised a brush fire may have been caused by a downed power line.

Arriving onscene Chief 35 confirmed the report and requested PECO, with the fire moving swiftly towards a house burning the lawn, Brush 35 and Tac 35 along with the Deputy arrived and a safe distance from the downed wire was determined and crews worked to stop the advancing brush fire from extending to the house.

Crews then stood by until PECO arrived and ensured the power was off to the line that was done and final extinguishment took place. Crews were in service for an hour prior to clearing to restore the apparatus.

Scene was then turned over to PECO and the company cleared the scene
