Today was a busy day at Wagontown, First class that was in its last day was the PA-130 class which is the Fire I for Wildland Firefighting. For the past 2 weeks Wardens and staff from the PA DCNR have been at Wagontown running the PA-130 and S-190 Wildland firefighting courses. These courses are the foundation for Wildland Firefighting.

Instructors went over things such as Fire Behavior, Weather, Topography and various other topics that concluded today with a practical exercise across the street at Givler's property.

The second course to kick off was the Incident Safety Officers course held through the PA State Fire Academy. In this class the attendees were given the tools and tips to use on the fire ground or incident scene to ensure we are doing our jobs as safe as possible. This class still has one more day next Saturday and they will be done.

As you can see our commitment to being the best we can by training, staying current and on top of all the latest developments in the fire service.

Wagontown would like to thank Danny Givler for the use of his property and all those who attended the various classes.
