Barn fire on Engletown Rd.

Today at 11:02 hours the Company along with mutual aid were dispatched to the 100 Block of Engletown Rd in the North West section of West Caln Township for a reported ban fire. As units went enroute they were advised of a working fire and the owner was removing the horses from the barn.
Chief 35 then requested 2 additional tankers upon hearing the report.

Engine 33-1 arrived first deploying handlines into the barn and worked to control the fire that was in the second floor of the barn, Wagontown and Whitehorse units arrived and worked with the 33 units to contain the fire on the second floor limiting damage to the structure.

Engine 31-1 and 31-2 arrived provided RIT while Ladder 8 arrived and laddered the building and provided ventilation, crews worked together to bring the fire under control in short order and Chester County Fire Marshal's handled the investigation. The additional tankers and units arrived and provided water to the scene or manpower to assist with various jobs on the fire grounds.
