For the last several weeks, numerous members of Wagontown have continued to further their fire service careers while one of our new members is beginning his journey in the fire service. Wagontown has always prided itself on the highest level of training by our members. recently several members attended the Water rescue Emergency Response course, this is the beginning class for those who want to be part of our Water Rescue team.

Currently our newest member Brandon Rogers is undergoing the Firefighter I class, the class offered by Chester County Fire Training prepares the member for operations on the fire grounds. This course leads to a National Fire I certification, which is the ground level entry to the fire service. We also have Nick Sheplock who is attending the Vehicle Rescue Course, this course prepares firefighters for vehicle rescue situations.

Next we have Firefighters Taylor and M. Coonce along with Lieutenant Stein attending the Fire II program all of which are provided at the Counties Public Training Center. The new state of the art training center coupled with the outstanding instructor staff provides the best possible certified and PA State backed training in the area.

The members in Fire II will graduate with a National Fire II certification and Nick who is in Vehicle Rescue will graduate with a PA Department of Health certification in Vehicle Rescue.

In 2009 when the company became a 75% participating department through the state's training program, we as a company continue to hold training at the highest level and continue to train both in classes and in department level training to provide the best possible service to those who we provide services for.
