On Tuesday evening a Winter Storm Warning was issued for our area as a Nor'Easter was approaching, so to meet the challenge a plan was started to staff the station overnight Tuesday into Wednesday and on Wednesday as the storm moved through. The night shift was awaken at 03:22 hours for a wires fire in the 1100 block of Manor Rd (Rt. 82). Tac 35 made the response and arrived onscene to find a tree had fallen on the wires and was blocking the roadway.

PECO was requested but due to an extended ETA, the crews worked with West Brandywine PD to secure barricades and close the roadway once again, after it was re-opened from the earlier accident.

Then at 07:21 Hours the Engine and Rescue made the response to the unit block of Windle Court for an odor investigation, crews there checked the residence and determined to be a heater malfunction.

Then after returned from Windle Court, the company was dispatched to the West Brandywine Township building for a fire alarm. This incident was quickly cleared as it was accidental in the shop.

Crews then weathered the storm and kept the fire station clear of snow and remained ready to answer any alarms.
