On Wednesday evening, the members gathered to review our winch operations that can be used during various incidents. Tonight the winches on the Tac, ATV and Brush trucks were reviewed and with the help of our local towing agency Flings. Tow companies use winches every day in the process of recovering vehicles whether they are in an accident or broke down; the main way of loading them is through the use of a winch.

So tonight along with our training staff, Daryl and Dave stopped over and assisted us with the training, which included changes of direction in pull, using snatch blocks to increase the load without over working the winch and various other tricks of the trade.

All of these can be used in a variety of situations ranging from accidents, securing vehicles, pulling ourselves out of situations and all the while building a team that when needed will work together without a hitch.

Wagontown would like to thank Flings Towing for coming over and not only assisting with training but going over the equipment carried on your tow trucks.
