Today after weeks of cleaning the Company attended the Honey Brook 125th Anniversary Parade and housing. Honey Brook Fire Company celebrated 125 years of continuous service. The prep work leading up to today’s parade began some time ago with the members cleaning and readying the apparatus for today’s parade.

The day began with members arriving at the station at 0800 hours to put the finishing touches on the apparatus, this very same story played out through many of our neighboring companies as well. Then it was off to judging at the Honey Brook Elementary school where the judges reviewed our apparatus.

Once complete there we proceeded to the housing company staging area on Supplee Rd where we assembled with the other housing companies which were Whitehorse, Glen Moore, Twin Valley, Rangers, Gladwyne and East Brandywine. The housing companies are special guest companies who will help house the Honey Brook Fire Apparatus following the parade and as part of the ceremonies.

At 1 PM sharp the parade began and travelled to the Honey Brook Fire Company where everyone gathered for the ceremonies and the housing of their apparatus. During the parade the active members marched with the Past Chiefs driving or riding on the apparatus.

Following the ceremonies the awards were given in which Wagontown was given a plaque in appreciation for being a housing company and the Traffic Unit won First Place for Most Functional Traffic Unit.

Once all the activities were completed, crews loaded up and headed back to Wagontown.

We at Wagontown would like to congratulate Honey Brook on 125 Years of Service and wish you 125 more years, and thank you for allowing us to be part of a truly wonderful event.
