On Wednesday the weekly training session was held at the Hibernia Lake, the topic was Water Rescue and Boat Operations. As the summer moves into full swing, the possibilities of having such a call on the Lake is an ever possible event. Tonight was designed to familiarize everyone with the lake, it's low and high spots and special features used to identify areas of the lake.

Also covered was the equipment carried on the boat trailer and its use which included throwing the rope bags and rescue discs used to reach people having an issue in the water.

Crews also reviewed our SOG's on water rescue along with proper loading and unloading and set up of the boats. Both of our boats and motors were run and ensured proper operation during the training.

We were also joined by members of the Sadsburyville Fire Company who recently completed the Water Rescue Awareness program and wanted to learn more about water rescue.
