Tonight Firefighter Nick Sheplock graduated from the Chester Counties Firefighter I program. The program consists of 180 hours of classroom, hands on skills and culminating in live fire evolutions which when completed they complete the PA State Fire Academies Fire I program and test for their National Certification. Firefighter Sheplock has completed all of the class and has passed his State portion just waiting on his National results.

Nick comes from a long line of fire service members, and tonight his Father a longtime Firefighter from Thorndale presented him his certificates, followed by Chief Ziegler presenting him his badge.

The Next member John Rosenberry completed his Fire I through the Octorara Homeland Security Program. This program is run through the Octorara School District and the program is held at the Chester County Public Training Center in a unique partnership. In this program as Nick completed, John also put in 180 hours of training on the same subjects and it too culminated in a Live Burn session held earlier this week. John's family is no stranger to the fire service either, with his family gaining their roots in the West Chester Fire Department and currently serving with us here at Wagontown.

Both men are now interior certified firefighter with us, and both are looking to further their education in the fire service.

Congratulations men and we look forward to seeing you both on the fire grounds.
