Today at 14:43 while the company was attending a shower for one of our members the Company along with Ambulance 144 were dispatched to the 100 Block of Brandywine Woods for a reported woods fire. Crews quickly manned the apparatus and made the response.

Chief 35 arrived onscene and found a working woods fire, on arrival found at least a 1/2 acre involved and moving in all directions due to the changing wind conditions. Crews quickly flanked the fire with Brush 1 & Brush 2 taking the northern flank with Deputy 35 taking the operations on the North side. Tac 35 being supplied by Rescue 35 on the South Flank worked to contain the fire on this side.

The crews worked and had the fire under control by 15:20 hours, with overhaul in progress. Crews wrapped up and were back in serivce around 16:30 hours and beat the rain back to the station.

Another great job by the members holding the fire to 1 acre.
