On Saturday Sept. 24th the Company was invited to attend the first ever Coatesville Grand Prix that raced on the Coatesville City streets. Early on we were contacted by Chief Alderman for one of our Brush Trucks to assist with manning the Pit Row area of the event, this was to ensure a small agile piece could navigate the streets where the vehicles for the event would fuel up and do repairs.

Brush 35-1 and a crew of 2 manned the event, slightly equipped differently than normal with additional equipment that was specific to the needs. The crew arrived at their assigned location at 8 am and was in-service for whatever the need would arise for.

The event started just after 9 am and ran all day up until the last race finished just before 3 pm. With the race starting in the 300 Block of Lincoln Hwy and going to 8th Ave, Up 8th to Oak St. and then down Oak St. to 1st Ave and around. The crews were released after most of the activity was done in pit row around 4 pm.

Wagontown would like to thank the Coatesville Fire Department and the City for allowing us to be part of this historic event.
