Tonight members gathered at the station to take the Rescue and Utility down to the Public Safety Training Center to participate in the Trench Rescue Task Force Refresher.

Tonight companies belonging to the Rescue Task Force came together under the direction of Task Force Leader Corcoran to use the new Trench Prop at the Public Safety Training Center.

The refresher was a great way for everyone to get together and not only see new equipment available to the team but meet new members and see old members on the team. This allows for better scene communications when incidents such as our mud rescue a few months back occurs everyone knows or seen members of the team before.

SO crews worked through a scenario and worked together as one unit to accomplish the incident (training scenario). This type of training keeps everyone’s skills sharp and refreshes them on the operations we seldom use.

As you Wagontown is part of the Rescue Task Force in both Trench and Water Rescue, so this type of training is very important.

Wagontown would like to thank the task force for hosting this training at the Training Center.
