Accident with Entrapment on State Hill

On Thursday night at 21:30 Hours the Company along with Ambulance 144 and Medic 93 and 31 (Sadsburyville) for an Engine were dispatched to Rt. 10 South of Rt. 340 for an accident with entrapment. Units responded and Chief 31 (Grossman) arrived finding the accident in the middle of State Hill.

Engine 31-1 arrived with the Rescue following and the crews together worked to remove the doors and roll the dash to free the trapped driver. Deputy 35 (Reber) held the Rt. 10 Command while the units worked to remove the driver. Crews had the driver extricated in 8 minutes from the arrival of the Engine and Rescue.

Crews then stood by until the scene was cleared and the roadway was reopened around 22:41 Hours.

During this incident the Company handled a second call with Ambulance 44 and Medic 93 for a cardiac emergency in the 200 block of Skiles Rd.
