Earlier this week, the Pennsylvania State Fire Commissioners Office announced award amounts for the 2015-16 Volunteer Fire Company Ambulance Grant Program. This program provides grants to enhance and improve firefighting, ambulance and rescue service capabilities of fire companies and ambulance services throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

This year Wagontown was awarded $13,798 to purchase new LED scene lighting for the Rescue and Engine, the new lights will draw less power and provide a better scene light in which to handle incidents at night. Night time incidents are dangerous as you cannot readily see hazards, with the new LED lights the scenes will be better lit providing for the safety of our members working the incident scene.

Wagontown would like to thank the Pennsylvania State Fire Commissioners Office for their continued commitment to improving emergency service within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
