Last week for training the company traveled to the Chester County Public training center for the State Fire Academy's session on light weight building construction and the hazards they present.

Tonight members of Ambulance 144 (Westwood EMS) and Lt. Moore reviewed the equipment carried on the ambulance as well as use of various pieces of equipment.'

Then members practiced with the help of EMS providers some basic patient packaging along with use of the
K.E.D Board. The KED board is a device used to keep the neck and back in line while removing a patient from a position where spinal immobilization is needed.

Then once packaged in the KED they were transferred to a long board. Also covered tonight was C-Spine immobilization and C-Collar application.

Once completed a scenario was set up using the squad to remove several members posing as victims.
