Tonight training took on a new spin; the session was set up to begin the process of investigating a fire alarm in which a simulated fire was found. The training took place at the West Caln Township Garage facility; a place we all know however never was pre-planned for.

The session started with the Engine and Rescue arriving to find the simulated fire alarm, and then the crews investigated to find smoke in the building.

Crews then stretched the appropriate lines, simulated the attack and then reviewed the process for smoke removal from a large open area building. Crews also reviewed searches in large areas, clearing the whole building while looking for the simulated fire and then controlling a door to the fire compartment.

Once these evolutions were completed, crews then used our new Electric PPV fans to ventilate the large building of the simulated smoke from the smoke machine.

Once this was completed crews were given a tour of the facility by Road Master Touchton pointing out utilities and water and gas shut offs to the building.

Wagontown would like to thank West Caln for using the garage and Road Master Touchton for the tour of the facility.
