Early Morning house fire in the 3506 Box

On Tuesday morning just after 7 am the Company was dispatched for a house fire. Stations 49 (East Brandywine) 33 (Honey Brook), 44 (Westwood) and 31 (Sadsburyville) along with Lancaster 49 (Whitehorse) and 41 (Coatesville) were dispatched to assist on this fire. Chief 33 (Messner) arrived confirming a working fire, Chief 35 (Ziegler) arrived and assumed command and requested the working fire dispatch which brought additional resources.

Crews worked to make an attack on the residence while EMS crews tended to the homeowner who sustained minor injuries. Crews then worked to control the blaze which was placed under control just prior to 8 am.

Chester County Fire Marshals along with the State Police Fire Marshals responded and handled the fire investigation, once they were done crews went to work mopping up and overhauling the fire scene.

Companies cleared the scene right around 10am.
