Today the Salisbury Township Fire and Ambulance aka Whitehorse Fire Company celebrated their 100 year anniversary. The formation of the company came after a fire nearly destroyed the entire town of Whitehorse in September of 1913 and they needed assistance which they waited for nearby companies to respond.

In 1914 saw the formation of the fire company and they continue to flourish 100 years later, so today they celebrated their 100 year anniversary and to add to this milestone they housed a new 2014 Pierce PUC Pumper.

Today's events consisted of a schedule of events from dignitaries from the local, county and state officials presenting proclamations and citations to housing of the New Engine 49-2. Then more events followed with the community joining the company the whole day.

The event was very nice from the static display of apparatus to the events for the kids and families, the housing committee of the fire company did an outstanding job on putting this event together.

Wagontown was asked to be a stand-by company along with Christiana in which we were honored to be part of this event. Members were also asked to help house the new engine as a housing company and again we were honored to do so.

Wagontown would like to wish the Salisbury Township Fire and Ambulance many more successful years of service and hopefully those who follow may see the 200th anniversary. And we look forward to working with you all in the future.
