| On Saturday morning the company along with Westwood EMS was dispatched at 09:59 hours to the 200 Block of Rt. 10 for the accident. Onscene there was a 2 vehicle accident with a driver confined in one vehicle. EMS arrived and started patient care while the crew from the rescue stabilized the car and forced the drivers door open. Crews then assisted EMS with removing the victim and both drivers were transported to local trauma centers. Fire Police controlled traffic around the scene until the incident was cleared.
Then at 11:03 hrs. the company was dispatched to Connie's Drive in West Brandywine for a gas leak. Onscene crews found a leaking 20 lb. propane tank. Crews found the tank valve was damaged and leaking, crews then vented the tank and dispersed the vapors with a handline. Other members monitored the area for any increases in gas concentrations in which there were none. Crews cleared about an hour later after the tank was emptied and the air was clear around the incident scene.
Crews then cleared and went to West Brandywine's trunk or treat. |
