A very busy Saturday

As crew members arrived around 08:30 to set up for the Fire Prevention Open House, numerous calls for service began coming in. The first was 9am for an accident in the 1000 Block of West Kings Highway for a vehicle accident. Onscene a box truck left the roadway striking a number of trees, Rescue 35 arrived onscene with the Chief's and controlled the Hazards. While at this scene at 09:33 the Company was alerted to assist Westwood on a reported house fire in the unit block of Irish Lane. Engine, Tanker and Rescue made the response to find a cooking mishap and the assignment was held to 44 units and Engine & tanker 35. A short while later the company was alerted to Hibernia Park for an injured person on the Rim Trail, Tac, ATV and Chief 35 responded and ATV 35 was used to transport the injured person to the Waiting ambulance. The crew went on to handle 2 more calls the rest of the day for an EMS assist and a Smoke Investigation.
