On Wednesday night crews took part in a training session regarding sprinklers and standpipes. Earlier in the day the company responded to assist the Westwood Fire Company on a fire at the Airport Village Shopping Center, the incident involved a sprinkler head that activated. This incident the prompted the refresher training on Sprinkler systems and Standpipe systems to refresh everyone on their operation.

Crews then went outside and practiced stopping a flowing sprinkler using the wedge method which was also a cool way to spend the hot evening. Our sprinkler prop was constructed by a number of our members who are sprinkler fitters and plumbers who were able to build this mock up for us to train with.

During the training the Township mascots were on hand to watch the activities prior to leaving to move on to a new location.
