Today at 13:02 hours the Company was alerted to Lions Head Drive in the Hibernia County Park for wires, while enroute Chief 35 was advised of a brush fire that was also occurring. Units arrived onscene and found that a wire leading to the mansion had been struck by a falling limb and caused an arc on the pole dropping hot embers into brush below.

Crews once determining that there was no hazards went to work quickly containing the brush fire and notifying PECO for the pole issue. PECO responded and handled the pole while crews mopped up the burn area.

Crews cleared an hour later. Thanks to the help from the Ranger Staff at Hibernia Park.
