Today at 1135 hours the Wagontown Fire Company and mutual aid were dispatched to a working house fire on the western side of West Caln Township. Units were alerted to Compass Road and Caton Road for a dwelling fire. The caller reported flames at a window.

Lancaster Engine 4-9 arrived to confirm a working house fire on Caton Road just off of Compass Road. Engine 4-9-1 and Engine 33-1 quickly went into service with fire suppression and searches.

As units arrived on-scene with Chief 8 (Gathercole) establishing Caton Road Command and Chief 35 (Ziegler) establishing operations the companies went to work with searches and fire extinguishment. Crews operated on the scene till a little after 17:30 hours.

The incident was handled by the assignment dispatched and all companies went above and beyond on this incident.

The fire is under investigation by County fire marshals.
