On Tuesday afternoon shortly after 4pm storms rolled into our area, with that numerous calls for stranded vehicles in high water began to come in, quickly resources in the area became very busy as the highways were packed with citizens returning home from work. Utility and Boat 35 responded to 6 water rescue calls in an hour, then being relocated to the higher section of the 30 corridor at the VA Fire Department to respond to calls on the north side of Route 30.

Fire Police and the company also handled road closures and incidents related to wires, trees down and flooded basements. Shortly after 9 pm the incidents were closed and the members headed home after a long day.

And a reminder the Route 340 Bridge Between Moore Rd and Hurley Rd is closed due to being washed out in this storm, PennDot is working on a plan for replacement.

Thank you to those who provided the pictures.
