Busy Monday for the Company

Early Monday morning the Company along with MICU-144 was dispatched to the 900 Block of West kings Hwy for an accident. Units arrived onscene to find a Small School bus vs. a Jeep. No injuries were reported however the company and EMS stood by until the children were placed on another bus to go to school. Fire Police closed the roadway for safety and crews cleared the scene about an hour later.

Then at 15:20 hours the Company along with Station 31 was alerted to the 1200 block of West Kings Hwy for a Brush fire that extended to several outbuildings on the property. Chief 31 (Grossman) arrived to find fire spreading through a back yard, outbuildings, trees and adjacent wooded area. Engine 35 arrived first due and stretched lines to the initial fire area, Engine 31-1 arrived second due and stretch lines to the exposure areas. Tac 35 and Brush 35 arrived and supported all areas with all hands working. Chief 35 (Ziegler) had the Route 340 Command. Quick response and fast efforts from all companies stopped the fire from spreading causing more damage and loss to the owner and surrounding properties.

Then at 20:47 Hours the company along with mutual aid companies were dispatched to the 100 Block of Schane Lane off Hill Rd. for a Dwelling fire. Honey Brook Units arrived 1st with fire showing from the rear of the residence. Engine 35 arrived along with the balance of the assignment and went to work on the house fire. Crews were onscene for several hours working this incident and finally cleared the scene at 23:30 hours
