Early Morning chimney fire on Skiles Rd.

On Friday morning at 06:35 the company along with mutual aid was dispatched to the 200 Block of Skiles Rd for what was originally dispatched as a house fire. Battalion 44 (Sly) arrived onscene to find a working Chimney fire, Engine 31-1 arrived first with crews working to ladder the building. Ladder41-1 arrived and raised the main to the roof while the crew from Engine 35 handled the interior work.

The balance of the box was returned, crews worked for about an hour clearing the chimney and fire box and eventually extinguishing the chimney fire in this old farm house.

Crews went available at 07:51 hours to return and clean up.
