Wagontown Volunteer Fire Company urges residents to take steps to prevent fires

Wagontown is taking precautionary measures due to the fires which have occurred in our area and neighboring municipalities.  Wagontown Volunteer Fire Co. would like to recommend additional measures to reduce the risk of further fires. Wagontown is urging residents please look at the following steps immediately at your place of residence:

1) Remove all trash/debris surrounding your homes.

2) Remove items from the Front and Back porches.

3) Turn on outside lights during the night.

4) Make sure smoke detectors are in working condition; a limited supply of smoke detectors may be available to residents who do not have them. Contact Wagontown at 610-384-2770 or stop by on Wednesday night after 6 pm.

5) Do not park on the street when possible and keep roads open and clear; use all off street parking available.

6) Report any suspicious activity to 911!

Wagontown would like to remind everyone to have Fire Safety and Emergency Plans in place for your home and business.
