Annual Fireworks standby in Coatesville
By: Wagontown Fire Co.
July 10th 2010

On Saturday evening July 10 2010 at 8:00pm, Engine 35, Rescue 35 and Utility 35 and there crews made the annual trip to Coatesville City for standby during the fireworks display. Upon arrival crews made their way around the concession stands, and listened to the live band playing. Around 9:30pm the fireworks display began, which is hands down one of the best in the county although this year display was dampened by the humidity that didn't allow the smoke to clear causing low visibility. The fireworks display has become an annual standby for the Wagontown Fire Company and its volunteers, and is looked forward to every year. Crews were released by Chief Johnson of Coatesville Fire Dept. at 10:30pm and returned back to the station, Fortunately no services were needed during the standby.

Units: Engine 35, Rescue 35 and Utility 35
Mutual Aid: Coatesville Fire Department, Westwood Fire Co., Modena Fire Co. and the Downingtown Fire Dept.
