Early morning house fire on Cedar Knoll

Early this morning at 03:30 hours the company along with Mutual Aid was dispatched to the 100 block of Cedar Knoll Rd for the reported house fire, companies responded and were advised of a working fire. Chief 35 (Ziegler) arrived and established the Cedar Knoll Command and requested 2 additional tankers and the working fire dispatch.

Engine 76 arrived followed by Engine 35 who initiated fire attack while Engine 49-5 arrived and provided a water supply on the East side of the fire which was augmented by Tanker 35, Crews worked in the exposure residence side of the attached garage while Rescue 35 arrived on the West side and stretched two lines to work the garage side of the fire building.

Engine 48-5 followed by Engine 33-5 arrived on the West Side and provided a water supply to Rescue 35, crews worked to contain the garage fire and control the fire in the exposure residence.

Engine 44-5 arrived onscene with their crew assisting on scene and the tanker standing by with additional water. Rescue 33 provided the RIT crew while crews operated on the interior of the residence.

Engine 48-1 established the fill site on Reeceville Road across from the Hurricane Hill Farm.

The fire was placed under control at 04:00 hours and all occupants were accounted for and out of the structure. Crews remained onscene till just about 7 am assisting the fire marshals and the homeowner.
