Today at 12:42 Hours the company along with mutual aid responded to the 200 Block of South Bonsall Rd. for a house fire. On scene crews found a working fire and crews from Engine 31-1 and Engine 35 who arrived stretched two hose lines and aggressively fought the fire while additional companies arrived and laddered the roof and searched the residence for fire spread and ensure all occupants were out.

Crews opened the exterior wall and roof adjacent to the chimney and interior around the wood stove to ensure they exposed all fire and smoldering that was occurring. Due to the excellent construction of this house, the fire was held to the area around the chimney and crews were able to expose it quickly and extinguish the fire.

Crews then waited while the fire investigators determined the cause and then cleaned up the residence with Belfor Restoration covering the hole in the roof. A great example of teamwork that extinguished the fire and minimized damage to the home.

Outstanding work by all companies on the scene..

Special thanks to IrishEyez Emergency Services photography, Matt Stein and C.J. Ziegler for the pictures of the fire today...
