Tonight in a long awaited time the new tanker was delivered by Fireline tonight, Mike and Kelly from Fireline delivered our new 2019 Freightliner / Summit 3000 gallon tanker. The tanker was made possible through the efforts of the Assistance to Firefighters Grant through FEMA. The AFG grant allowed us to purchase this new piece of fire apparatus which will allow us to deliver more water to the fire scenes in a more efficient and faster means.

For the delivery a small welcoming party was held with both West Caln and West Brandywine Township Supervisors and officials present, local neighboring Chief's and residents as the tanker was backed into the station tonight at 6 pm. Members and those in attendance looked at the tanker with Mike and Kelly from Fireline and then enjoyed a bite to eat. Socializing then for the remainder of the evening.

This purchase would not be possible without the partnerships with the townships we cover which are West Brandywine and West Caln. The two townships were very integral supporters of this project which was closed tonight upon delivery of this tanker.

Also we cannot forget to thank our grant writer John Sly who was instrumental in working with us to secure the grant that made this purchase possible. This is our second AFG grant vehicle award which were both needed and replaced aging equipment which will allow us to serve our residents and visitor’s in a more effective manner.

Thank you to AFG Grant program, our townships, and our residents who support us.
