Accident with Entrapment on Rt. 10

On Sunday at 15:40 hours the company was dispatched along with Ambulance 144 for an accident on Rt. 10 area of the School House Inn. While enroute the incident was upgraded and 35-31 arrived and found entrapment. Chief 35 arrived and assumed the Rt. 10 command and Rescue 35 along with the Engine went to work stabilizing the vehicle and then working the drivers side of the car.

During the incident the medics from Brandywine and the EMS crew from 144 handled the patient care, Crews removed the drivers door and the subject was removed from the vehicle in 10 minutes. The subject was taken to the local trauma center and crews remained to assist the police department and Flings in clearing the incident scene.

During the incident Fire Police from Wagontown and Honey Brook closed this section of Route 10. The roadway was opened and incident cleared around 16:45 hours.
