On Sunday evening as storms moved through the County, Wagontown staffed the fire station with crews for the fire apparatus and our Water Rescue Unit. Staffed with numerous water rescue technicians Wagontown’ s first call was to assist the Modena Fire Company with a reported Water Rescue on Strasburg Rd and Beck Roads in East Fallowfield Township. Modena units arrived and found the incident to be a weather related incident with no boat services needed and the company was recalled.

Then at 23:25 hours after the storms had long passed, the company was dispatched to assist the Honey Brook Fire Company on a water rescue at Birdell and Beaver Dam Roads. Crews arrived to find one vehicle in the water with one inside. Deputy 33 (Bailey) arrived and established the command. Boat 35's crew deployed and made their way to the vehicle. The occupant was loaded into the boat and brought to dry land where EMS checked the subject.

Once the incident was under control 35 units were released by Command. Great job by all which allowed for a quick and safe incident outcome.

Units: Boat and Squad 35
