On Friday night preparations for our annual pig roast began with the picking up of the pig and then loading the pig in the cooker. Each year resident Gerry Lindenlauf donates his time and cooker to the event. This year the pig was loaded and started to cook just after 6pm, then the overnight crew made sure the fire was kept going and at 8 am the pig was done and prepared.

Members arrived and began selling at 11 am with the rest of the crew and fire police getting ready to head to the West Brandywine Car show, there we set up our tent and sold pulled pork sandwiches and provided fire safety materials and smoke detectors to those who attended.

We look forward to this event each year where we work with our partners in West Brandywine during this event. Crews then cleared all the events at around 6:30 pm after a successful day.

Wagontown would like to thank all of those who supported us and to West Brandywine Township for allowing us to be part of this annual event.
