On Wednesday evening we were joined by members of the Sadsburyville Fire Company for a joint training session on Vehicle Rescue. Tonight we all assembled at the firehouse and then went to our good friends at Flings Towing who provided us some previously staged incidents or training events to work on. Flings Towing has and continues to be a great partner to the fire company, not only providing a place and cars to train on but at the incident scenes as well. Continuing to work with them and our mutual aid partners allows for seamless integration into incidents where time is of the essence.

Tonight crews worked on a car over the embankment, car overturned and then a car up a hill that was T-Boned. Each one of these scenarios provided their own level of difficulty in which crews had to work through.

Also recently Sadsburyville had received a grant for new Hydraulic Rescue tools in which we got use and evaluate which was very valuable as we now know how their tools operate which is a slight bit different than ours.

Last but not least, it allowed us to work together and use each others equipment and train in safe atmosphere so that we are ready for the next incident where time and lives matter.
