Assist to Coatesville on an Underground Transformer and CO incident

Early Friday morning at 01:55 Hours the company was dispatched for Engine 35 to assist the Coatesville Fire Department on the Unit Block of N 3rd Ave for a building fire. Engine 35 made the response and arrived onscene to assist the CFD with the incident. Incident Commander Patton assigned the Crew from Engine 35 to the basement of one of the building to assist with opening up and venting the high levels of CO along with smoke from the transformer fire.

Crews made entry and encountered high readings and began the ventilation process, using both negative and positive pressure fans to ventilate the basement. Crews were in service for an extended period prior to being released after 4 AM.

City units cleared a while later after turning the incident over to PECO.
