On Saturday we held our very first Traditional Amish Wedding Dinner, this fund raiser was organized by the members of the West Caln Amish Community in conjunction with the members of the Wagontown Fire Company. The idea came about some months prior and with a committee of members from the Amish Community as well as our members worked to put on a great event yesterday even despite the snow.

On Friday final preparations were completed and the group came together to finish some of the cooking, food preparation and decorations for the event. Then on Saturday morning all again assembled to put the finishing touches on everything and then at 4 pm the doors opened. Crowds were steady throughout the evening and finally around 8 pm we began the task of cleaning up.

At around 9:30 pm all was cleaned up and everyone was ready to go home with great feeling of accomplishment.

Wagontown would like to thank everyone who helped make this a huge success and to our partners the members of the West Caln Amish Community who really made this event possible a heartfelt thank you, without you we would have never dreamed of doing such an event. And also to our friends in Honey Brook who lent us some equipment again a big thank you to you as well.
