On Wednesday evening around 22:00 hours the company was dispatched to the 100 Block of Barons Hill Rd for an electrical fire. Crews immediately responded with the Engine and rescue fully staffed which was followed by our other support vehicles.

Chief 35 arrived to find an active fire in the wall extending from an outlet, crews arrived and stretched two lines and went to work opening the wall to expose the fire. Rescue 35 provided a back up water supply to the engine with crews then securing power to the residence and doing a search of the house. Crews then accessed the attic to ensure no fire spread was found. Fire was held to the wall and areas surrounding the outlet and had the fire under control within 10 minutes of arrival.

Crews then waited for the County Fire Marshals FM100 and FM101 to arrive and investigate. Once completed the investigation crews then finished the overhaul and covering the wall where the exterior of the residence was opened. Crews cleared the scene around 23:45 hours. Quick response and great work by the crews held the damage to a minimum.
