On Saturday morning Lt. Matt LeTourneau from Engine 45 in Philadelphia lost his life while battling a fire at 2240 North Colorado St. in South Philly. Matt was the Lieutenant on the first arriving Engine Company who along with the first arriving Ladder Company had removed a civilian from the building. During the incident there was a collapse and Lt. LeTourneau was trapped and eventually removed by his fellow firefighters.

Lt. Matt LeTourneau when not working on the job in Philly was an instructor with the Delaware County Emergency Services Training Center where he instructed numerous courses. Matt was always willing to show, teach or talk to anyone who showed interest in the job. He was one who always smiled and would accept anyone who wanted to learn or work with him.

Wagontown wishes to extend our thoughts and prayers to your family as well as the members of the Philadelphia Fire Department, you will never be forgotten.
