Today at 11:06 hours the company along with Ladder 49 (East Brandywine) and Ambulance 144 were dispatched to the 100 Block of Hurley Rd. for a reported chimney fire. Deputy 35 arrived and assumed the Hurley Rd. command with a chimney fire in the pipe between the stove and the roof.

The engine crew arrived and went interior and cleaned the fire box out with Ladder 49 laddering the building and clearing the chimney with their chains. Crews worked for about a half hours clearing everything out and then making sure that there was no extension to surrounding areas. Crews checked the attic and all was good there, crews then cleaned up and cleared the scene at 12:00 hours.
