On Friday evening while setting up for our annual Turkey Raffle numerous calls were received on station by residents in the area of the Caln Shire Development reporting a possible woods fire. Chief 35 (Ziegler) responded up and located the fire in the Hidden Acres Campground off Baldwin Rd. The fires were large brush piles that were either inside the campground or along the wood line on the campground property, at 17:20 Hours the company was dispatched and the Brush Company responded with the Tac, Brush 1 and Brush 2 who arrived and went to work on the numerous brush piles found burning in the campground. The company extinguished the piles and adjacent areas and FM 28 (Peters) worked with the owners in regards to open burning. Once all fires were extinguished the company returned at 18:15 hours in time for the Turkey Raffle. |
