On Sunday at 13:58 hours the company with Ambulance 144 was dispatched to the 600 Block of W. Kings Hwy for a reported brush fire. While enroute from the station, a decent size smoke column could be observed coming from the reported area. Chief 35 arrived on location to the rear of the Wagontown Deli to fire a large woods fire advancing to the East through the woods.

Brush 35-1 responded right after dispatch and arrived and went to work on the East Flank of the fire, trying to cut off its movement towards houses on the East. Brush 35-2 arrived next and supplied the Fire attack on the east side of the fire.

Deputy 35 arrived and was assigned the West Flank of the fire that was actively burning as well; there he had the crew of Tac 35 start advancing a handline up the hill behind the house that was 2 properties down from the Deli. West Kings Highway Command was established and a request for an additional Tanker was made.

Shortly after that a request for an additional engine for manpower and a Brush truck was made. Engine 44-5 was dispatched along with an Engine from 31. Engine 44-5 arrived and supplied Brush 35-2 with water and Engine 31-1 arrived and supplied Tac 35 and provided manpower to the western flank.

Brush 33 arrived and manpower was sent up the eastern flank to assist, having the fire contained about 45 minutes into the incident. The crews then turned to mop up and overhaul of the fire scene.

Crews finished the mop up and companies started going available at 16:00 hours, Wagontown crews finished clean up, fueling and putting equipment back in service by 17:30 Hours.
