Wagontown regrets to announce the passing of Shirley Pfitzenmeyer. Shirley was a life member and was our Pool Manager for the last 33 years. Shirley was the kind of person everyone wanted to be around and loved what she did for us with the pool.

Her Obituary is as follows:

Shirley A. Pfitzenmeyer, 67, of West Caln Township, passed away suddenly on Monday, March 24, 2014 at the Pembrooke Health and Rehab Center of West Chester.

She was the beloved wife of Charles W. Pfitzenmeyer, Jr., with whom she shared 48 years of marriage.

Born in Coatesville, Shirley is the daughter of Doris Mentzer Franciscus of Wagontown and the late Russell Franciscus.

She was a 1964 graduate of the Scott High School of Coatesville. Shirley was a manager of the Wagontown Swim Club for 33 years.

She was an artist and she loved to cook.

She is survived, in addition to her husband, by her daughter Kerri Kita, wife of Rich, of Valley Twp.; sister, Diane Schrack, wife of John, of Wagontown; and her nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 28, 2014 at 11 AM at the Wagontown Fire Co., 412 W Kings Hwy, Coatesville, PA 19320, followed by interment in the Fork of Brandywine Cemetery. The viewing will be from 10 until 11 AM.
