Wagontown attends
Appreciation Ceremony at Coatesville
City Hall

On Monday, June 8th, 2009
Chief Ziegler and Deputy Chief Patton
loaded up Engine 35 with a crew of 5 to
attended the Coatesville City Council
Meeting by invitation to receive
official recognition by the Council for
the 2008-2009 arson spree which
terrorized the area.
Fire officials from the City of
Coatesville Fire Department, Westwood
Fire Company, Modena Fire Company,
Thorndale Fire Company, Wagontown Fire
Company, Sadsburyville Fire Company,
Parkesburg Fire Company, and Downingtown
Fire Department were all present to
receive recognition awards.
The City Council wanted to present each
fire company involved in the past rash
of arson fires that plagued the city for
the past 18 months with a citation for
their continued support to the
Coatesville Fire Department and the
residents of Coatesville.
Chief Ziegler, Deputy Patton, Lieutenant
Pilotti, Firefighter Smith and Jr.
Firefighter Ziegler were called before
the Council by City Council President
Marty Eggleston to receive the
recognition. After many kind words and
lots of thanks from the City Council,
each fire company was asked to stand
before Council for a photo opportunity,
and then proceeded around the room to
shake the hand of each Council member.
